Nice to have someone to visit you

Carol and Steve are coming to visit me from Virginia with Buster and Buddy this weekend!!!I am so excited to see them. What a great way to start the week!I have a healthy start by spending my morning with the lord followed by a swim and reading a book at the pool. then i cooked a simple lunch for myself and then started clearing up the place....am I starting to becoming little Miss Housewify or what??

Denomination?Does it matter?

alright sunday was great coz he brought me to the church he went since he was here. Well, what can i say , i still prefer Charismatic Churches !!I felt a little constraint in my usual way of worship especially the church he went is a presbyterian.This is my first time i stepped into a presbyterian and the way their service was conducted was so structured that i reallie cannot get used to it. It goes like that:
the worship leader will read verses from the booklet which has been prepared before hand and we have to repeat the prayer which was stated after that.Afterwhich we have to sing hymms followed by another prayer which was read from the booklet again.
SOmething is missing,probably the strong presence of the Holy Spirit..
Well think i will look out for another church...still prefer a lively way of worshipping

More CUTE guyys to introduce !!!!This time around, it was requested by the guyz to meet my Singaporean gfs when i am back home next year. Alright,one ABC,one Hongkonger,one chinese,all in their 30s!!!SO many choices for dear friends. We went dim sum,had a heavy lunch then KTV in chinatown and the ABC came over to our apartment and we hang ard the pool ,swim and talked.Good guy and definitely worth the catch!:)

Saturday Updates

Thank you my dear friends who have dropped me short sweet messages to know that all of you have read the blog.

I am getting used to my life over here for the past two days even though with occasional snoozing in the afternoon which reallie helps to kill my time over here.The heat wave in the East Coast is atrocious and I have
put on tons of sunscreen before i go out. Despite wanting to get a tann,going out without any sun protector is definitely going to ruin my complexion
That explains why i hv been so concientious in putting on my masks every night for the past few days.:P

I met up with BF ( aka babyface)'s friends on Saturday for dinner in a seafood restaurant .What a costly meal. Guess i nees to adjust to the standard of living over here. Before i start earning the US dollars, I think i better be scrimpy over my expenditure.This Asiancouple i met is nice,spoke with strong accent.In fact, this whole group of friens spoke with an accent coz they have been living in states since they are young. Aggressive and driven people, their topics encircled in areas like business,internship etc....somehow i became a listener and talked lesser in the group. And i met someone whom i want to intro to all those singles out there. He is Indo-chinese born and according to BF,his dad owed islands in Indonesia.Furthermore he is super funny and cute....haha gals grab him!

Anyway aside from all these, if we are ever going to be rooted here for the next few years, i will reallie prefer to stay out of the city.I felt so quaint living where i am here,with beautiful cliffs at the back and the riverfront with a picturesque view of Manhantten.The ferry ride from my place along Hudson River was breathtaking and I felt so relaxed before stepping into the bustling NYC.

First Entry in States-NYC

hi all!!!!!!!!!!
I have safely touched town in NYC. i reached Newark airport two days ago, faced some problems at the custom checkpoint because i did not bring my I-20 form with me. i had a fright and had been worrying for the last two days because they have limited my stay to 30 days in states,not till i send them my original I-20 form back to the SEVIS. Called back home and tried asking Brother to search for me.Very desperate and anxious but thank god ....guess where i found the form.It's actually tucked neatly between my notebook in my bag. I am such a muddlehead.Thank god i found the form and hopefully after I sent it back to the SEVIS ,all shall be well.So here i am , able to rest in peace and typed something for you guyz.

Nothing much for the last two days. I have been resting ,recovering from my jet lag,catch " Pirates of the Carribean" and kept having Japanese food at one of the restaurant.Called back home and started missing everyone back home. This is very unusual of me if you know me....i guess you will miss the comfort back home when you are in a foreign country.Fear of assimilating into the culture,ability to make friends..blag blah
Anyway,I did some cleaning up of the apartment coz his place is in a big MESSSSSSSSSS!!!!Couldn't believe it.will upload some pictures soon.

He left for work this morning .I wanted to hang around the pool but there was a pool party from noon till evening and i decided not to go. I did not feel like meeting any new people right now,just want to have some time alone.Great weather over here and i will probably get myself a tann after i settled down.

I have a great time with the lord this morning.The quiet time was good. I thank him for everything and prayed that everything will go well over here. I prayed that I will meet great people and have good fellowship over here. I prayed that he will lead me to wherever he wants me to glorify him.
