Survey

I am curious about this all the time

Is it possible to have a work life balance in SIngapore?

If you are a mum, will you rather work or stay home to look after your child?

Or you will prefer to work part time?

Winter Bliss

Trying to slow down myself after the past year of being on the move all the time--balancing work and study and pushing myself to my limits. Today was awesome. I walked the dogs in the park and enjoyed the afternoon winter sun. I listened to the Christmas Carols playing at the background and losing myself in the kitchen working on the Martha Steward baking recipes.I fed my little nephew with his little cute bottle. It has been a long long long time since I did all this. What a great feeling!Tommorow is Christmas Eve...I am excited.

Growing up.

I can't imagine how I went thru my uni days back in NTU. Just today, while visiting NIE, I am thinking how on earth had I survived my three years in NTU.Thankfully, living in hostel had salvaged my traveling journey back then.

I felt really nostalgic being on the campus itself. The landscape still had a tinge of familiarity but on close scrutiny, there were a lot of new changes. Brand new blocks of hostels, a new research centre for the engineering school and being in NIE itself was different compared to the old days of dusty coridoors,WIP landscapes and inadequate facilities. I am so impressed by how things had changed .
Time flew,new changes, new improvements.

Walking through the coridoors of the academic professors' office seemed to remind me of how I went and visited my professor for the many meetings in his office with my group mates to refine our final year project. A bit de javu. But 7 years have passed by, this time round, I am meeting my friends who were lecturing there to seek career advice.

Looking at the young graduates who were rushing for tutorials and lectures, I just suddenly felt I had grown older. I was once that young!

INFJ

Guess one could change over time, my Myers-Briggs test was so different from what i took 10 years ago. I was a ENFP last time but now i am a INFJ now!!!Wah...i couldn't believe it which means I am an Introvert,Intutive, Feeling and Judging now!!!Taking some time to process the analysis, I guess I could find some answers to why some people said i am complicated like in thoughts and expressions and they said they did not understand what i am talking when i tried to explain my thoughts process on certain issues...Hahaha. some even commented I seemed to be living in an alternative world..which i found myself not hahahah. Now after reading this ..i finally could put a more concrete explanation to this. But don't play play huh, people who shared the same INFJ traits like me are Gandi , Mother teresa ,Martin Luther King..
My dear friends, check out the analysis below and tell me if this is true to me

Another thing to share and rejoice is that i am pursuing something which is equivalent to what i should be doing according to the Myers Test!!!Hahahah, two days ago, I received the good news from BB that I got accepted into my grad school.I am in heavens..is one step towards my dream. I am definitely going to make use of this opportunity to be involved with the research work and helped the world's less privileged children. Is not going to be easy...but I will perservere.

Right now, I need to source for more financial aid and scholarships and beginning to prepare myself to work and study at the same time.Busy Busy Busy...besides this, I am now in SIngapore for a month preparing for the BIG DAY and most importantly helping my beloved cousin who is down with cancer. Please help me pray for her that she can overcome this trial soon.

Promise more updates soon.

I am back!

It has been such a crazy start for the new year. After arriving back in the states since a week ago, we have been busy moving in to the apartment, got everything moved in , did all our necessary groceries which amounted to quite a shocking sum and started to get used to the life back in North Carolina.

I have been busy tutoring a high school girl who was desperately in need of help for precalculus since I came back last week. Though I have told myself I would never want to touch Math again , it seemed like I could not escape what I was being trained to do in my academic career and hence for just two sessions, I have earned myself a hundred and fifty bucks to do my groceries.hehe.Extra income.

Anyway, I apologised for my MIA. Lots of people have been wondering what I have been up to and I just could not get myself in front of the laptop with tons of things awaiting to be cleared and so here I am back in action, trying to back track my logs which I found it so difficult to do.

In addition, I have been busy calling people and chat with my new acct set up at vopibuster which allowed me to call landlines in Singapore for free. And not forgetting, now that we started subscribing Netflix, the night time was usually unwinded with one of our favourite movies.

Well , there are so many things to do now especially I made a resolution to be in the kitchen more often. And indeed I am , i started learning how to bake cookies and cook dishes which we could not find over here. So be prepared for more food and recipes entries
