My conversation with god at 3am

Thank you lord for wonderful time with Jess in Selfridges today and placing people in my life whom i can develop deep, genuine relations with. Thank you lord for your wisdom and guidiance in writing my second draft amist my tight deadlines i have given to myself. Continue to guide me to complete the last part of my essay.

I pray that you will bless us a safe trip to Bruges in the weekend, with EJ's car being fixed in time by tommorow evening for the drive. I also pray that we will have a great time together with EJ before we head off to the States.

Amen.

My ABBA

I remembered last year i wrote a long list of the things that i am thankful during thanksgiving. This year it will be shorter.Why?- one lesson i learnt during the wednesday bible study.

More often , we thank god for the answered prayers to our personal requests, how often do we thank him for the blood he has shed for us on the cross, for his sacrifice to be born as a human being and died for we sinners, for his total dedication to carry out his will on this world so that we can be reconcil with God in the eternal kingdom?

I am convicted. But yet, this shall be what i want to give thanks to him on this day and every day of my life . My focus shall not be on what he has fufilled on my physical needs but on what he has fulfilled for me in the spirtual sense. I do not want to be like the Jews in John 6 who focused on the physical bread and signs and miracles that Jesus is able to perform. But more his promise towards an eternal kingdom, more on the truth that he died for us, underwent ridicule and perseuction by his own people.

I am touched as i prepared the lesson materials on the "birth of Jesus" for the sunday school. His coming to the world is to save the world!!!I teared while singing the songs " Hark the Hearald" and the " First Noel". I teared when i re-read the story on how Mary gave birth to him on the Manga in the stable ,his divine role was to sacrifice for US on the cross. I understand more on the significance of Christmas on my third year relationship to him.

Thank you lord for what you have done for us. Make me more like you as i move on to the coming year. Make me glorify you and seek and dependent on you even more. I know you are watching and and listening to me.

My New Man

I love Daniel Craig!!!! He is such a heart stirrer in James Bond!!Gosh he looks good in everything ,from ruggard beach wear to sleak smart tuxedo wear.Is a must watch with lots of beautiful scenaries and beautiful people. Some scenes are very gowdy and violent which are so unlike of a typical bond movie.Well but that really added on some realism in any secret agent plot.I think he did such a wonderful job.He is so suave !!!!He is my new man!!!! Wohoho...:)

Shoeboxes!

These are Ron and my shoeboxes for the year 2006. Aileen introduced me this programme from her church and invited us to her house for some delicious food and shoebox wrapping. I bought those gifts on Friday after work with Ron. The joy of giving was tremendous and i felt so high the whole night.I felt reallie happy to share god's love on Christmas though is not here yet. but just a reminder that this Friday is the Black Friday aka Thanksgiving. Have you prepared surprises for your love ones yet? I am definitely gg to organise such events in the future.

Leeds part 3-Dover!

So after Leeds castle, we drove another 30minutes to reach the very southern part of England to visit the all famous White Cliffs at Dover. For your information, this was just one of the rare weekend trips we had, henceforth, we grabbed the opportunity to go to as many places as we could in the countryside. Over here, we could overlook the ENGLISH CHANNEL and see France at the distance. In the early days, this was the region where the French always had to pass through to attack England. It reminded me alot of the Great Ocean Road in Australia.I kept telling BB that the feeling was the same except this time round , i am happier because he was here with me to take small walks along the cliff. Totally relaxing and breathe-taking again. Rolling hills and meadows, if i am brave enough like the kids , i will just tumbled myself down the hills. You saw families of fours and fives with huge labradors and golden retrivers. You saw horses trotting down the hills. You saw sheeps at a far distance and of course you saw the mighty fortified fortress-Dover Castle at the distance. We spent about 3 hours there, enjoying the scenary, laughing and watching the sunset. I am tired but the beauty of the nature kept me alive!

One group shot of the day!Yipee!

you can imagine how deep and tall this is.Love to take pictures like this with shafts of lights. Made me feel that Jesus is riding on the clouds and god is around!
The sunset which was at 4pm.Depressing but beautiful
if you have realised, me and ronald are always taking these kind of close up shots because there are nobody else to take for us! the beautiful white castle

Leeds,The castle itself

Leeds Castle is the second castle we went after Tower of London. It may seem similar to you but this place is totally magical. i wish i can take my wedding shots here. Check out more of my photos at Multiply. Anyway, Leeds is just a 45 min drive away from London and it is situated at Maidstone.Leeds castle passed into royal hands in 1278 adn became part of the Queen of England's dower-the settlement widowed queens received upon the death of their husbans. Over the course of 150 years, it was held by six mediaeval queens: Elenor of castile, margret of rance, isabella of france ,joan of navarre, anne of bohemia and catherine de valois. The castle we see today is over 900 years of alteration and changes. The last private owner of the castle is lady Baillie.

I ask Ej to take a series of shots of us walking along the river.I feel like we are kate and prince williams paktoking in the royal palace. Very happy but under the public scrutiny . Seem like one of those tabloid you can read on US or Mypeople.:)
A more decent shot now at the side of the castle
Front view though it looked superimposed,it is not!

Leeds Castle Part 1 Seasonal Change

Autumn Hue. How lovely!I have always wanted to capture the colours of the autumn but never get to. Last year, i thought i could take some in NC but realised the leaves are not that pretty. This year, i finally managed to capture some decent shots. Totally breathtaking when i am strolling in the garden in Leeds Castle last weekend. They made me marvel how beautiful the creation is. The sun was bright , the sky was blue and there was a gentle breeze blowing. It seemed hot but the weather has become colder. It is now 3 degrees here. I am so thankful that i get to see this. You just feel like being quiet and not speak a word.Yes, totally enchanting. They are turning yellow..
But some are still evergreen
Some are beautiful pinks and orangish
matching with the bluish sky to form a picturesque

Where are you,in thoult heaven?

We never know how much we treasure them till they leave us.
We never know how much we have loved and they have loved,
Till they are no longer around.
They brought us to this world and give us life .
They shed blood and tears for us.
They never stop looking out for us.
They never stop providing for us.
How many times have we taken them for granted?
How many times have we broken their hearts?
When was the last time we give them hugs?
When was the last time we ever take a closer look at them,
And realised that time have spared no more,
There are more lines written across
If the clock turns back,
will we take back our nasty remarks ?
will we no longer walk in our ways ?
will we just be obedient and say "I love you,Daddy and Mummy"
Raine

FireWorks

Fireworks, fireworks, you are so beautiful yet so short-lived.Thousands will gather at the Blackheath Park in the cold just to catch a glimpse of you. Is it because you are able to pump up the adrenaline and make our hearts skip a beat or because you are so exciting?
You are bright, everywhere in sight, red, blue, green, everywhere to be seen. You shoot up high, you light up the entire sky.The children go wild and the adults go "ooh".
You are manificient and you leave traces of beautiful memories .We love you coz we have so many encounters with you. You always romanticize our time together and never fail to appear iwherever we were. We saw you five times and you always taught us to treasure each other.

Natural History Museum

I skipped my Japanese class today to have a day out with BB since he will be flying to NYC tommorow again. We went to Natural History Musuem today which i thought was one of the best i have visited so far. The building itself was intricately designed and the exhibits were fantastic and comprehensive ranging from the prehistoric dinosaurs ,birds ,mammals, insects and the Earth.I like the way they presented the information which was so interactive and infomative. We had great fun toying with all the games. There were so many students in the museum.Pretty rowdy and it kinda of reminded me how exciting it was to go on excursions back in schooldays. Not pretty much on able to see and learn but hanging out and chilling with frens .the good old days of rattling and cackling at every little silly joke.oohhh, I miss that....

Ron's welcome home back dinner

I learned how to make soup and this baked sea bass from Eu Jin.Ron can't join us in time for the dinner. Still on the way back from the airport. Am sure will be touched by this pleasant surprise from his dear fren.:)

Making Jiao Zi

After Borough Market, we head off to Aileen's place to make Jiao Zi. We reckon that this is the best activity to do as a family. Everybody can be involved and you make some small chit chats along the way!!We are gg to meet up to make more stuff like truffles and brownies! Are you impressed by these skins? If you are, just want to let you know that they are not bought but freshly made!!!In fact, skin is the most crucial part of the dumplings. Smooth and thin skin will make your dumplings juicy.
If you don't believe, look at these dough we made. It all started from here!!And this can make about 48 dumplings
So what kind of filling do we need?? We need chives, spring onion, lettuce, ginger, mushroom all neatly diced to give a nice texture..
Of course, not forgetting the shrimp and the minced meat which are gg to be addded !!
So there you go, we add sesame ,egg, chinese cooking wine, soya sauce and chicken stock and there you go, the delicious filling
Taking a break when the boys are here
Ron and me
Making the dough
Learnng how to wrap which is trickyAnd the final product with some vinegar to go with.
Yummy!

Borough Market

All sorts of sausages and meat ,all neatly cut up and displayed. Not a tinge of stench and very handsome butchers!!

Fresh seafood and fishes. Look at the red snapper..i could not find anything fresher than this. There are razor clams as well.
Chocolates,nuts, cranberries,turkish delights,all my favourites!!!

Fresh vegetables. Look at how colourful they are . I simply love them. Remember to always take 5 choices of the coloured vegetables.Look at the carrots, aren't they lovely and they are just only 1 quid.
Floweres are gogeorous and you just hope to be little florist once you stepped in .you took a sniff, the frangrace will blow you away....
Look at the huge range of spread from jam to mustard, gooseberry spread, radish,i hv a great time just simply tasting and buy none at the end of the day

Bread and Cheese. My favourite. Look at the big slabs of cheese freshly made. I love them,so delicious. The cheddar is the best ..no Goat cheese please!!!And how aboout the pan and baugette...they look so tempting as well , aren't they????Wish i can load all of them onto the car.

I am so glad i woke up early in the morning to go to Borough Market with Aileen. I haven felt so refreshed after being cooped up in the house yesterday .In fact the weather has been getting real coldl.the cool air is real refreshing. Anyway, the boys are too lazy as such they will only be joining us later.
I am so thrilled at the market. They have all sorts of lovely and delicious food. Fresh vegetables and meat!!!ALL organic at a reasonable price. It is clean and there are lots of tourists swarming in at the later hours. I love the cheese store. They have all sorts of cheese and you can taste it with the biscuits. Asides from that, you can get real good toast and cofffee at this Maria store which is right smack in the centre of the market. They have freshly made bread which made me drooled coz i am so a fanatic for sandwiches . On top of that, as we winded through the little small streets, you will get to see many little stores selling wine, more cheese, more butter and sausages. Yummy, i love borough market and want to come here next week to do my marketing again.

Chicago

Watched Chicago and hv a nice dinner at Sze Chuan restaurant with EJ and Ron.
I enjoyed the musical alot but the two boys were not thrilled. That was pretty shocking. The casts were all dressed in sexy costumes, nettings and do not seemed to work on them .
Blues behind bars from the writers of Cabaret. Justice is on trial for the husband killing bad girls of shady Chicago. A chorus girl murders her lover but manages to get off through a strange assortment of allies. She forms an unusual nightclub act with another murderess with the hopes of keeping them both out of trouble. Captivating plot, outstanding banding, hilarious lines.
