Leeds Castle is the second castle we went after Tower of London. It may seem similar to you but this place is totally magical. i wish i can take my wedding shots here. Anyway, Leeds is just a 45 min drive away from London and it is situated at Maidstone.Leeds castle passed into royal hands in 1278 adn became part of the Queen of England's dower-the settlement widowed queens received upon the death of their husbans. Over the course of 150 years, it was held by six mediaeval queens: Elenor of castile, margret of rance, isabella of france ,joan of navarre,anne of bohemia and catherine de valois.The castle we see today is over 900 years of alteration and changes. The last private owner of the castle is lady Baillie.
