Sometimes is quite a good experience to wind through the little streets in Singapore and realised there are more interesting places other than the big shopping malls in Orchard Road. On my way to hunt for some nice fabric for cheongsam in Arab street from Doby Ghaut, I came by some interesting shops near Selegie Road which sold real exotic stuff.And I discovered a shop which sold real delicious traditional pastries which will literally melt in your mouth along Middle road called " Le Cafe Confectionery and Pastry Shop " Everything is perfect today asides from the weather which i still find it hard to adjust.
Oh...by the way, i am going to be back in SIngapore for a month

Yes, there are many quaint little shophouses in Singapore that are worth checking out, such as the streets around Arab Street, Bussorah Street, Haji Lane etc.
There are also a lot of small designer retail concepts around Ann Siang Hill, Erskine Road, Club Street etc.
I love browsing through these shops with the hubby over the weekends. Most are closed on sundays over at Ann siang though.
Wahhhh..thanks for all your extra recommendations girl...do you just window shop or burnt some big holes in your pocket?:P
nooo noooo... i like looking at them. i really like admiring all the quaint, artsy sort of stuff. plenty out there, from vases to mirrors to decorative items. I love their unique shop interior designs!
next time you come back, maybe we can go check them out! :)
